Framework Studio Version 1.5
Development software conversion to .NET 2.0
With the new release 1.5, Framework Studio converts to Microsoft .NET 2.0. Thus results a lot of advantages, both for the tool itself and also for the code generation of the applications.
Higher speeds
Framework Studio 1.5 has become faster. Significant speed increases are in the communication between the application and the client by means of a faster XML processing. According to information from Microsoft, the performance of .NET 2.0 is two and a half times faster as under Net 1.1.
Also the optimised architecture of Framework Studio 1.5 makes the tool faster. This has a particularly positive effect on complex forms or if many forms are opened at the same time. In general the speed increases at work with Framework Studio, for example at processing of extensive forms or workflows.
The compile times also have shortened, because the new features of .NET 2.0 allow a more compact code generation. The generated assemblies have a smaller extent and therefore also better loading and execution times.
Framework Studio 1.5 processes big quantities of data better. From this result convincing advantages. The consumption of resources is reduced significantly. More clients can be used at the same time from an application server without a loss of speed.
New viewers, better reporting
Besides the existing Java viewer, Framework Studio 1.5 also has a WinForms viewer for an optimal performance and usability on the local desktop and a HTML viewer (ASP.NET) for the use of mobile clients.
In the field of reporting new functions should be provided for the support of Crystal Reports. Also SubReports are supported. Since report objects are inheritable, basis reports can be compiled with it, which can be used for different cases later on.
